I caught a 24 hour flu bug Monday that pretty much kept up and running to the bathroom all night long.  I fell a sleep early last night for some much needed rest. Sorry that there’s no show today.

Some sad news which I learned about last Friday, our industry lost a great elevator man, John. W. Blatt. For those of you who did not know John, he was a kind, caring and compassionate man. Both visitation and service will be held on Saturday March 1^st in Port Clinton, OH.

I’m feeling a bit under the weather today as we in the Midwest continue to freeze with wind chills of seven below this morning. There are 2-3 stories worthy of printing out today depending on your elevator status; contractor, mechanic, consultant etc. This week the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation is holding its annual meeting which this year is in Atlanta GA. We hope that they have a productive week of meetings! Snow is once again falling here in Chicago and the kids and I are making the most of it by building forts, having snowball fights and sledding. I don’t remember getting as many snow storms as we have since I was a kid. But I guess everything back then was larger than life. We do have some important news stories to talk about on the show including two important lawsuits and one elevator accident that ended up in a fatality. Plus the Crocs Corporation is back in the lime light! Plus there are a couple of good stories that feature elevator companies. And one awful one down in Atlanta that will make you sick to watch it!  So many stories this week, so little time!
