It’s good to be back everyone. We’ve got a good show today along with some interesting articles. The first one talks about the space elevator which is very technical. Also linked below is a YouTube video on the Maglev Elevator, which I had no idea how it worked until now. Is this where our industry is heading? Will MRL’s evolve using Maglev technology? It will be interesting to see the progress of it in 15-20 years. Remember that the Elevator Escalator Safety Week is fast approaching click here to find out how easy it is to participate!  (Pictured Right: Two fans stop by The Elevator Radio Show studio to show their support for ElevatorBob and myself who had brief thoughts………very brief ……..of running for office!)

Thanks to the following companies who have donated goodies to the prize pack giveaway. Have goodies left over from the convention? Send me 12 and I’ll include them in prize pack! Fujitec America, GAL, The National Association of Elevator Contractors, The National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities, The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation, COMPANY SRL, Peelle, C.J. Anderson, Truxes, EMS Group, Elevator Bob’s Elevator Pictures, Minnesota Elevator, Inc, One Stop Elevator Magazine, The ElevatorNetwork, Elevator Gear & The ElevatorShack.

October 22nd, 2008 – No Show Today

Sorry everyone but no show today. After two poor nights in a row of sleep and a head cold it’s hard for me to even see straight I cannot physically do the show. When I’m at my game and 100% I feel like I can conquer the world. When I’m dragging like this it seems hard to breathe….

Next week we’re going to be giving away our prize pack along with that we’ll have some cool news to talk about. Everyone have a great rest of the week and wash your hands. Whenever I get sick I realize that I most likely am because I didn’t wash my hands enough! Talk to you all next week!

On this weeks program escalators seemed to dominate the news when it came to accidents plus the Space Elevator seems to be getting more traction with Japan investing 8 billion into developing a program that they hope will be successful. Other stories include another New York Times article which talks more about the New York City Housing Authority elevators again which is worthy of a read plus many more goodies in the show. Thanks for the e-mails everyone, especially the ones which talked about our economy and being as optimistic about it as possible. Another included a funny YouTube video which I’ve linked below of a comedian Dane Cook who does a short skit on a situation he ran into while riding in an elevator.   Also Elevator Escalator Safety Week is fast approaching click here to find out how easy it is to participate! Talk to you next week everyone! Enjoy the show.
