Great to be back, now it’s time for catch up both on the show and at work! We’ve got some interesting articles to cover on the show today along with some great e-mails and a prize pack giveaway.  I realized this past week the following; Six Flags Great America is similar to going to Las Vegas, my kids are too young to work and I’m glad that my wife came back from one of her favorite places on the planet, Santa Cruz, CA. I also realized that spending time with my boys has to be one of the best things in the world and I’m glad I had the opportunity to do so this past week. Pictured Right: As China addresses escalator safety perhaps they should look to improving communications on how to ride them and that if traveling with what’s shown in the picture, elevators should be used. It’s one of those weeks that I’m not sure if I’m coming or I’m going.  While the number of elevator and escalator news stories was fewer than normal the first two are pretty bad.  One involved another over the side escalator accident fall which occurred in Michigan. One witness noted that she jumped up on the handrail only to fall over the side.  Remember, escalator handrails are somewhat grippy and you should NEVER try to do this! She was lucky with her injury while others have died with these types of accidents.  Also going on today is the Chicago Elevator Association code update seminar which I’m assisting with. I’m looking forward to seeing many of you who listen to the show at the event today.  The ECNY is also having an action packed week as it holds its own vendor expo. For every one who’s out on the road, have safe travels on your way home.
