EESF Announces the Release of Publicity Poster

February 19, 2010 – The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF) announces the release of a poster to publicize the Foundation’s mission to industry members.  This poster was created through a committee whose charge is to help create awareness of EESF within the elevator and escalator industry.  This committee was created through EESF’s strategic plan, put into place after the Foundation’s board as a map of goals for the future of the Foundation.

Matt Rupp of C. E. Electronics and an alternate on EESF’s Board of Directors, is the chairman of this committee.  The company, along with the help of Stuart Rosebrock, designed this poster as an in-kind contribution to the Foundation.

The poster, which reminds industry members that they are “part of a bigger picture,” was created so that it can be printed and placed in workrooms, lunchrooms, locker rooms and other common gathering areas.  The poster is available online for download on the Foundation’s web site at www.EESF.org or can be downloaded by clicking here.

This poster acts as a reminder for those in our industry that the Foundation’s mission is to educate the public on the safe and proper use of elevators, escalators and moving walks through informational programs.  By supporting EESF and its programs, accidents can be significantly reduced.

Without the industry’s support, EESF would not be able to accomplish its mission.  For more information about EESF or to help support the Foundation, please visit www.EESF.org or contact EESF at (800) 949-6442 or info@EESF.org.

Short show from Orlando, nice and sweet! It’s been great to see everyone who stopped by to say hi at the convention today. I appreciate the warm words many of you have shared about this program. As you all know this is a labor of love for me and I do it with the goal of bringing our industry closer together each week.  I realized this morning why we attend these events, whether they be for CECA, Elevator U, NAEC, NAESA or the NAVTP.  It’s about seeing people who we haven’t seen in a while to find out how they’re doing.  It’s about finding out how the economy is impacting each of us. It’s about learning new things through the educational opportunities. It’s about networking with others who either could use a little or provide a little help. It’s more than the exhibits, it’s more than the education, and it’s about working together as an industry to make it a better one.

Bringing the show to you a few hours earlier and on a Tuesday night, my wife is away in Ohio with the boys and I’m on the patio podcasting with a beer in my hand. I always wanted to record a show out here so here it comes. Next week I think I might be on vacation. I know that sounds weird but we had it scheduled but something has come up and it’s kind of up in the air. Check back next week to see if the gone fishing is posted. Special thanks to everyone who came out to the CEA Golf outing last Friday. We had a great turn out, just not great weather. Shorter show today as I’m pretty sure the world is on vacation this month.
