Click Here to download ERS-2009-10-07 #175 I’m not sure where global warming is occurring or not but here in Chicago we seem unaffected by it. It’s October 7th and its windy and chilly. I just hope that winter doesn’t hit with a vengeance. This is the first show of the month and we’ll cover the calendar of events and news of the week. I was surprised at the number of stories I found online today. One story with a tragic ending involved a man in a motorized wheel chair who reportedly died when he drove into an elevator shaft and fell eight stories. As well as this accident we had another escalator handrail slider who is in serious condition after falling over the side of the unit. Okay, note to self and anyone else who might be reading this. Sticky escalator hand rails not so slippery, keep both feet on step, hold on to handrail and watch step when getting off.
