While this is our anniversary show, it’s been kind of a tough weekend for my family as we found out some tough news about my son’s best friend that was hard to accept. I’ll talk more about on the program today. On a personal note the recent events in my life have me angry, sad and wondering what the overall plan for all of us is as sometimes it simply doesn't make sense. Life is fragile and can be taken away at any given moment. Live as if you understand this and without regrets. When you get home, hug your family members and remember that no matter how tough your day is it could always be worse. Be thankful for what you have and call a loved one if they are not within distance you can visit.

Elevator Radio Show - Video/Audio Show #299 – Week 06/27/2012

Click Here to download ERS-2012-06-27 #299 Back from the Elevator U conference and I can honestly say that I haven’t quite recovered from it. I had a wonderful time as this event is one of my favorites to attend each year. A unique mixture of educational programs, vendor show and the opportunity to learn about issues colleges and institutions are dealing with when it comes to elevators and escalators is one that I enjoy hearing about. Thanks to everyone who attended, sponsored, presented it was truly great to see everyone. On a personal note I wanted to congratulate Terri Flint who was awarded the John W. Blatt award for her dedication and hard work at helping make Elevator U the success that it is. Terri, the selfless work you put into each year’s conference is an inspiration to me. Can’t wait for next year’s conference where it will be held at Iowa State University.

Tonight in Chicago is the EESF Chicago Cruise which I’m looking forward to.  No tornados, thunderstorms are predicted which means we’re going to have an excellent night to view the skyline and fireworks. This week is our prize pack giveaway and we’ve got $100 in addition to goodies the following people have given away.

Special thanks to the companies who have donated goodies to the prize pack giveaway!
