Elevator Radio Show - Video/Audio Show #391 - Week 02/25/15

ersprIt’s the last week in February which means we’re giving away $100 cold hard cash, or at least in the form of a Visa Gift card which is almost as good as the real thing. As well we have our box filled with goodies! With this month being one of the coldest and snow filled on record for awhile let’s cross our fingers that March will be warmer and melts some of it. Next week I’ll be traveling to the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation Annual Meeting in Tampa. I’ll try to put the show out but what I’ve learned in the past is that between traveling, meetings and the end get together at the end I’m pretty tired each morning. I’ll put a post up if I have the energy to crank one out. Special thanks to the companies who have donated goodies to the prize pack giveaway! C.J. Elevator Radio Show - Video/Audio Show #309 - Week 10/17/2012

Click Here to download ERS-2012-10-17 #309 I’m back in action this week with some sad news to report as I learned earlier this week that the founder of Elevator World, William C. Sturgeon passed away at the age of 95. I was lucky to have met with Bill when I first came into the industry and what I remember the most about him was his passion for our industry as well as his love for those in it. He was the ultimate elevator advocate helping grow the industry that each of us depend on. He was a guy who recognized how much the industry had provided him and believed whole heartedly in giving back and he did on so many levels. I encourage you to read Bill’s memoir if you haven’t so already. He was a true adventurer who lived life to the fullest. Bill thank you for your contributions to our industry, our nation and most importantly your family. News/Article Links: William C. Sturgeon – Thank You! A sad day indeed…. Back from Penn State I had a great time at the Elevator U Conference. Great discussions, presentations and an interesting round table on MRL’s was something you’re not going to see at some of the other conferences. I guess that’s why I enjoy attending the EU Conference each year.  Great to see many of you at the event and Penn State provided an excellent top notch facility. Thanks to Brad Haldeman, Terri Emmons and Glenn Duncan for their hard work in making the event a success along with the board of directors and committees.  This week many of you are attending the CECA Convention which I hope is a success. Great show today including a recap of last week’s conference I’ve got some other great feedback and some good articles to cover on the show today.

Post: May 11th, 2011: ERS-2011-05-11 #253 Show Notes

Click Here to download ERS-2011-05-11 #253 It’s one of those weeks I could use a clone! But who hasn’t felt like that before. As it warms up here in Chicago, it feels awesome. Some serious articles on the show today every one.  There must have been a full moon or something. As I head into multiple meetings this week this is new territory for me.  Not quite sure what to expect at my first State Elevator Safety Board meeting I’m looking forward to attending on Thursday.  Enjoy the show, the articles and the warm weather if it’s headed your way.  And as always, be safe out there!
