Elevator Radio Show - Video/Audio Show #375 - Week 10/08/14

Elevator Radio Show - Video/Audio Show #375 - Week 10/08/14 Yippee the internet is working again. I’m telling you, what would we do without it? Read the paper? Talk to one another in person? Make a phone call? I honestly think all of those are good things. I kept some articles from last week’s show notes just to comment on them. So if you’re seeing them again it’s for a reason and you’re not going crazy. It was nice to see everyone at the Chicago Elevator Association meeting last week, especially some friends from out of town who were in the area attending the ASME Elevator Code meetings. Special thanks go out to John Rearick, James Herrity as well as his wife Colleen who I had the pleasure of having dinner with as well as the all of those who sit on code committees to help make our industry safer. Your work does not go unnoticed.

Not Enough News This Week For A Show - Instead Consider Become a Member of the ERRC

Sorry everyone but there simply wasn't enough articles to permit putting a show out this week. I could use the sleep and look forward to next weeks show. Instead of doing a show I wanted to take this opportunity to promote a cool bunch of elevator advocates who ride motorcycles and give back to the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation. I'm a member and urge you to consider joining. You don't need to have a motorcycle to join and you get some really cool embroidered patches as part of your membership kit. These not only look awesome on the back of a leather jacket, they also look great mounted in a picture frame. The perfect addition to any office or place of business!

Visit www.elevatorriders.com today and consider becoming a member and a fellow elevator advocate brother in arms.

Post: September 7th, 2011: ERS-2011-09-07 #268 Show Notes

Click Here to download ERS-2011-09-07 #268 As we head into the weekend please take a moment on Sunday September 11th, to remember those who were killed during the worst terrorist attack on US soil, a few of which were elevator mechanics trying to help those in the buildings. All of us will never forget that day as we watched in horror the footage those two planes hitting the building. Fly your US flags, if you don’t have one, go get one. On a more upbeat note I’m getting excited for the NAEC convention next week and am looking forward to seeing many of you during the round table and on the show floor. Shorter show today as there weren’t a ton of news articles online but a few that were interesting to say the least. I’ve also got the caption contest captions available in the comments section of the site and am asking you to vote via e-mail for the one you like the best. I had ever intention on getting up last week but just fell short on time.  For those of you traveling to New Orleans next week have safe travels.  Download the Apple App the NAEC has created. Looks like a pretty cool little tool.
